Erik Stapleton

Erik is a seasoned Mergers & Acquisitions transaction execution professional with 8+ years of direct experience. Working in all phases of the M&A process, Erik is committed to providing an efficient transaction execution process leveraging his skills in financial modeling, forecasting, business valuation, market research, project management, and financial due diligence. Erik brings a strong understanding of the diligence process to focus client energies on priorities while avoiding pitfalls and distractions during transaction negotiations. He has evaluated hundreds of companies during his M&A career and has worked on many engagements ranging in enterprise value from $1M to nearly $500M.

Erik has advised clients across a wide range of industries, including medical imaging, dermatology practices, medical device contract manufacturing, general manufacturing, business services, engineered products, railcar leasing, vehicle and equipment dealerships, and residential fence and decking construction, with significant exposure to many others.

Prior to True North, Erik was a Vice President on the Investment Banking team known as Business Owner Advisory Services at Minneapolis-based Fortune 500, U.S. Bancorp Investments. He took pride in helping lower-middle market owners exit their businesses and enter the next chapter of their lives.

Erik also has nearly 4 years of corporate development M&A experience within the healthcare sector. Erik holds an MBA with honors from the University of St. Thomas Opus College of Business and is a CFA Charterholder.
